Electrical Engineer 1

This role supports the R&D team in developing innovative product solutions by working across hardware, firmware, and electromechanical design. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, building and testing prototypes, performing engineering analysis, creating specifications, working with suppliers, supporting production implementation, and researching new technologies. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to develop, test, and implement solutions that meet product and customer needs.

• Design and problem-solving activities: Work with engineers and designers to troubleshoot electronic circuits and systems and help design a solution to resolve identified issues.
• Automation: Develop automated testing setups and job aids.
• Documentation: Capability to create technical summary reports and test documentation.
• Circuit Board Design: A basic understanding of circuit board and firmware design.
• Product Knowledge: Become intimately familiar with our current electronic products and they are implemented into our fenestration products.
• Other functions: Product installation and setup testing, production support, soldering of small electronics with high quality a plus, Ability to read and comprehend engineering systems requirements documents
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering required.
• 0-2 years of experience within related industries
• Working knowledge of 2D and 3D Modeling software (Inventor preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) preferred
• Must be able to be a positive member of a team environment, an individual who possesses self-motivation skills and is dependable and trustworthy
• Must be able to problem-solve and communicate effectively
• Must possess proficient organizational, interpersonal, and multi-tasking abilities and be able to work with power tools and computer equipment
